Raw milk from pasture grazing sunbathing cows is a nourishing complex and complete whole food abundant in 60+ digestive enzymes and native antiviral, antibacterial, anti-parasitic mechanisms. It’s loaded with minerals, all eight essential amino acids, every necessary fat and water soluble vitamin, plus the saturated fats necessary for healthy cell membrane activities and the omega6 fatty Conjugated Linoleic Acid with impressive effects on insulin and resistance to cardiovascular disease. Raw Milk was at one time considered delicious medicine and in American medical journals known as “White Blood” after the 16 year Milk Cure study by the Mayo Clinic where patients were successfully treated for cancer and maladies like chronic fatigue. Modern clinical studies prove that raw milk actually protects against allergic reactions and boosts immune systems. However, pasteurized, ultra-pasteurized or homogenized commercial milk isn’t real milk but is dead water chemically altered and violently heated to remove pathogens and bacteria to destroy the residual drugs and antibiotics originally administered to the cows, which pose a threat to human health. It’s low-enzymes makes it difficult to digest and altered fats makes the vitamins and minerals difficult to absorb.

If the health benefits of raw milk matter little to you yet you consume milk, then please consider foregoing commercial sources from confined animal feeding operations which primarily raise Holsteins genetically breed for massive milk production in deplorable conditions. You can influence such farming practices by not paying them to farm that way! We cannot meet our local demand for raw milk strictly from our herd so as we grow sustainably, we depend on one or two Florida small family raw dairy farmers who likewise do not artificially inseminate and raise Jersey cows strictly on pristine native Florida pastures. We still make all of our raw dairy provisions by hand and daily on the farm. Intrastate sales of raw milk is legal in Florida and must be identified as Pet Treats.

Before refrigerators and the cream separator, people collected cream by hand an allowed it to ripen for several days prior to churning. Our lovely butter is alive and bursting with CLAs and will continue ripening to give the fragrance of cheese. So either freeze it or enjoy it like the Parisians, fermented in its native splendor. Or store it for up to 2000 years in peat bogs! We offer fresh churned sweet cream or ripened cream butter in Half or One Pound.

We make one kind, Plain Jane because it’s decadent alone and many of you like to concoct personal varieties with fresh berries, oats or organic maple syrup at home, or even schmear it on your face like we did growing up to sooth wind and sun weathered complexions!
